Dr. Peter Lowenthal, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Peter Lowenthal graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1980 with a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry. He was accepted into the veterinary program at Cornell Veterinary School in Ithaca, New York and received a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in 1984. After graduation, he completed a one-year internship in small animal medicine and cat and dog surgeries at California Animal Hospital in 1985 and then began his employment here at Blue Cross Pet Hospital. His professional interests are small animal internal medicine and critical care.

In 1988, Dr. Lowenthal became co-owner of Blue Cross Pet Hospital with Dr. James Walters. He currently lives in Studio City with his wife and two sons, and enjoys tennis, bicycling, spinning, movies, reading, and coaching little league.
